andMr. McLaughlin asked the Minister for Lands (a) the number of estates acquired by the Land Commission in the constituency of Sligo-Leitrim, (b) the names of the estates so acquired, and (c) the names of the estates that the Land Commission propose to divide within the next 12 months in the said constituency.

asked the Minister for Lands what farms or estates are in the possession of the Land Commission in the constituency of Sligo-Leitrim, and the acreage of each estate so acquired; and when it is proposed to divide these lands.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 25 and 26 together.
Land Commission records are not kept by reference to constituency areas. Particulars of lands-apart from turbary and small residues of allotted estates-in the possession of the Land Commission in counties Sligo and Leitrim are set out in a tabular statement which, with your permission, Sir, will be circulated with the Official Report.
It is not possible at present to indicate when these lands will be allotted but there will be no avoidable delay.
In the Countries Sligo and Leitrim, during the past 5 years, areas aggregating 4,500 acres and 2,850 acres, approximately, have been allotted by the Land Commission amongst some 450 and 200 allottees, respectively.
