The Forestry Division of my Department has inspected a commanage area of 599 acres at Urhan, the acquisition of which has been the subject of representations from the urhan Guild of Muintir na Tíre. The Commonage is held in undivided shares by 31 co-owners but so fara only a small minority of the owners have offered their shares for afforestation. Efforts are being made to secure offers from a majority of the shareholders.
