Vol. 195 No. 2

Suspension of Member.

I move:

That Deputy Seán Dunne be suspended from the service of the Dáil Question put and declared carried.

Deputy Seán Dunne will leave the House.

I refuse to leave the House.

The old bandwagon.

I shall have to ask the Captain of the Guard to remove Deputy Seán Dunne.

Bring in the old bandwagon.

Deputy Seán Dunne will please leave the Chamber.

I refuse to leave the House.

It is a well calculated move.

The Captain of the Guard approached Deputy S. Dunne and requested him to leave. Deputy S. Dunne remained seated and refused to leave.

I think it is a very arbitrary ruling and I want to protest against it. Surely somebody is entitled to say something about C.I.E. in this House? It is a sacred cow of Fianna Fáil.

By virtue of the power vested in me under Standing Orders, I suspend the sitting for ten minutes.

Sitting suspended at 10.40 a.m. until 10.50 a.m.
