Vol. 195 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Condition of Glounthaune (Cork) School.

44.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the dangerous condition of Glounthaune national school, County Cork, due to heavy flooding of the village and school; and that the condition of the protecting embankment is now extremely dangerous; and what steps he intends taking in the matter.

The Deputy's question is the first intimation that I have received that the position is as stated in that question. I am having the matter investigated with a view to ascertaining the extent of the damage and what remedial works may be necessary to render the premises safe and suitable for school purposes.
