asked the Minister for Finance if he will take the necessary steps to provide a road to connect Sheskin and Barrooskey in the Belmullet rural district, County Mayo; and if in view of the fact that work on the new power station at Bellacorick is now nearly completed he will have road connection made as quickly as possible so that workers from the Glenamoy area, County Mayo, will be able to travel to Bellacorick.

The proposal referred to by the Deputy appears to be a relatively costly scheme which would be outside the scope of the minor works undertaken by the Special Employment Schemes Office. I am, however, arranging to have the matter investigated.
