Vol. 195 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Feale (Kerry) Drainage Works.

9.

asked the Minister for Finance when compensation will be paid to the ten landowners at Coolruane, Lixnaw, County Kerry, for damage caused to their turbary during the course of operations on the Feale drainage scheme; and when work will commence on the embankments at Coolruane which were badly damaged during recent floodings.

Agreement was recently reached on the amounts of compensation to be paid. The vendors' solicitor has been asked to produce title to the plots and as soon as the legal formalities are completed the payments will be made.

Temporary repairs to the embankments have already been carried out.

The main repair works will be carried out shortly.
