Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Horticulture in West Cork.

6.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether in view of the statement in the Report of the Inter-Departmental Committee on the Problems of Small Western Farms that the opening of Cork Airport would seem to offer a possibility of exploiting horticulturally the climatic advantages which are inherent in the West Cork area he will investigate the possibility of encouraging such expansion in horticulture in the area along the lines suggested in the Report.

I am arranging to have the matter investigated on the lines suggested in the report.

What arrangements has the Minister made and what steps is he taking to implement the report?

The Deputy asked me to investigate the possibility of exploiting horticulturally the climatic advantages stated in the report and I am arranging to have the matter investigated.

What steps is the Minister taking?

I am arranging that steps be taken along the lines of the report.

Immediately?
