Vol. 195 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Superintendent at Limerick GPO.

22.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reason why it was considered necessary to deviate from normal practice in appointing an outsider to the position of Superintendent at the GPO, Limerick.

In view of the staffing position at Limerick Post Office it was considered desirable to invite applications from the Post Office Service in general for the vacant post of Superintendent. The claims and qualifications of all applicants, including those serving at Limerick, were fully considered before an appointment was made.
