asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state with regard to each local authority in North Tipperary what are the current proposals for the provision of housing; and what is the present position of each proposal.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:

6 houses at Green Stret, Roscrea

4 cottages at Portroe (1), Crossoge (1), and Tower Hill (2)

2 cottages at Cullinagh, Ballina

Erection by direct labour approved.

20 houses at Hospital Lands, Roscrea

Tenders invited.

9 houses at Littleton, Thurles

4 cottages at Garrynamona, Ballycahill

Amended house plan awaited.

5 cottages at Shesheraghamore (3), Banamore (1), and Rathcabbin (1), and serviced rural cottage plan.

Plans at present under examination in the Department.

1 cottage at Brockagh

Further particulars of the site awaited from housing authority.

Tipperary (North Riding) Compulsory Purchase (Labourers Acts) Order, 1961 (40 housing sites).

Under examination in the Department.

Thurles Urban District Council.

Present Position

38 houses at Garryvicleheen

Technical advice on the plans submitted has issued to the housing authority whose further observations are awaited. A technical discussion has been suggested with a view to expediting matters.
