The Land Commission are concerned with drainage operations only to the limited extent incidental to estate improvement works, including turbary development. During the year ended 31st March, 1962, expenditure on such works amounted to £14,810 in Sligo and £1,957 in Leitrim. Separate figures are not available for the incidental drainage.
