The information requested by the Deputy for 1957-60 is that given in the reply to his question of 6 December, 1961. The corresponding detailed information for the year 1961 is not yet available but the preliminary estimate of the net output of agriculture for 1961, as given in Economic Statistics issued prior to the Budget, is £169 million and the provisional estimate of the aggregate expenses (excluding seed, fertilisers and feeding stuffs and including wages and salaries, rates, land annuities, etc.) is £54 million.
