Vol. 197 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Bottled Gas Supply.

18.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if it is proposed to supply bottled gas in the Letterard area, Cashel, County Galway.

My Department does not supply bottled gas, but may give a grant of £10 towards the cost of installing bottled gas for any rural householder who has not been connected to the electricity supply and who could obtain connection only by undertaking to pay a special service charge of more than 100 per cent. of the normal fixed charge apropriate to the size of his premises.

Details of the scheme were published in the daily press on 10th October, 1962.

I did not hear the Minister's reply at all. There was too much gas going on around here. Would he kindly repeat it?

The answer was given and a copy of the reply was supplied to the Deputy in the ordinary way.

But I may have a supplementary?

The other members heard the Minister's reply. The Deputy's complaint is that he did not hear the reply. I have pointed out that he was supplied with a copy of the reply.
