Vol. 197 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tralee Flood Prevention Plan.

35.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has received from Tralee Urban Council a copy of an anti-flooding and reclamation plan for Tralee; whether he has yet examined this plan; and at what date he is likely to come to a decision regarding the desirability of carrying out this plan.

The "Anti-flooding and Reclamation Plan" referred to has been received and will be considered in connection with the study of the drainage problem in the River Lee catchment.

This further examination is proceeding but, as has been explained to the Tralee Urban District Council, the problem is complex and requires study over a number of years before a decision can be reached.
