Vol. 197 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Phoenix Park Car Parking Facilities.

38.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Finance whether, having regard to the narrowness of many roadways in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, and recent prosecutions against considerate motorists who parked their vehicles on grass verges rather than on the roadways where they would cause obstruction, he will have steps taken to widen such roadways to permit parking without obstruction; or whether he will ensure that no further prosecutions are taken against persons parking cars on grass verges.

The roadways in the Phoenix Park are considered adequate to meet the purposes for which the Park is maintained. The prosecutions mentioned by the Deputy were made by the Garda.
