Vol. 197 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - EEC: Provision for Industry.

64.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, with regard to the Taoiseach's statement of 30th October that in negotiations with the European Economic Community provision should be made for dealing with cases of basically sound industries which might find it too difficult to comply with the general rhythm of tariff reductions, he will specify, as far as is possible at the present time, the industries which the Taoiseach had in mind in this statement.

It is not intended to specify particular industries. What is being sought is a general provision which will enable solutions to be found for such cases if they arise.
