Vol. 198 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Crumlin (Dublin) Garda Station.

57.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Justice the present position regarding the proposed new Garda station at Crumlin, Dublin; and whether provision has been made in the plans for ample parking accommodation there, having regard to the fact that the site for the station has been long used as a car park, particularly on Sunday mornings.

A contract has been placed for the erection of the new Garda station at Crumlin. It is expected that work will commence shortly, and that the building will be completed within two years.

I am informed by the Commissioner of Public Works that, in consultation with Dublin Corporation, they have made a provision in the plans for a lay-by for cars in front of the new building.
