Vol. 198 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sale of Trees for Fuel.

67.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will make available from the State forest at Dunmore, Durrow, County Laois some trees of non-commercial quality for many local people who require them for winter firing, and who are prepared to pay an economic price for such trees either felled or standing.

There has been no indication to my Department's local officers of any demand for firewood in this area. Any of the local people who may wish to get timber should contact the local forester in the ordinary way.
