Vol. 199 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Thurles Hospital Heating.

8.

asked the Minister for Health if he will take immediate steps to sanction the scheme for the installation of central heating in the Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles, County Tipperary, as the patients have been subjected to the rigours of severely cold winters.

The front block of the hospital is already centrally heated and the local authority is being asked to consider the possibility of providing improvements of a temporary nature in the heating arrangements in other parts of the hospital pending the installation of a permanent system of central heating, as part of the comprehensive scheme of improvements of accommodation in the hospital as a whole which is under consideration.
