Vol. 199 No. 11

Committee on Finance. - Copyright Bill, 1962—Financial Resolution.

I move:

That it is expedient to make provision for——

(a) the charging by the Revenue Commissioners of such fees as may be prescribed by the Commissioners by regulations, and

(b) the charging by the Controller of Industrial and Commercial Property in respect of applications and references made to him, and in respect of other matters relating thereto, of such fees as may be prescribed by the Minister for Industry and Commerce with the consent of the Minister for Finance,

under any Act of the present session to make new provision in respect of copyright and related matters, in substitution for the provisions of Parts VI and VII of the Industrial and Commercial Property (Protection) Act, 1927, and other enactments relating thereto, and to provide for matters connected with the matters aforesaid.

Can the Minister say what expenses are involved here, other than the expenses of the Office of Controller of Patents?

As the Deputy is aware, we have subscribed in the past to international Conventions and the other expenses would be those of such subscriptions.

It is just the expenses of the Office and any subscriptions.

Question put and agreed to.
Resolution reported and agreed to.
