(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of Tipperary South Riding during each of the past ten years (a) the total amount, and (b) the amount per head of the population paid in rates.

NOTE:

1. The figures for rates collected include increases in rents of small dwellings owned by rating authorities. The increases are in effect the rates for those dwellings.

2. The figures for the years 1952-53 to 1955-56 inclusive are based on the 1951 Census, those for the years 1956-57 to 1960-61 inclusive on the 1956 Census and the figures for 1961-62 on the 1961 Census.
