Vol. 200 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payment of Kerry Headage Grants.

11.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that a number of farmers in the North Kerry area have sold reactor cows under the Bovine Tuberculosis Eradication Scheme within the past fifteen months, and have not yet received the £15 headage grant; and, if so, if he will have this matter investigated with a view to having the payments expedited.

All claims for headage grants on reactor cows from County Kerry have been paid except for a relatively small number in which the required documentary evidence to support the claims was not forthcoming. These claims are under investigation and payment will be made without delay in all cases where this is found to be warranted.
