Tenders for the erection of this station were invited on two occasions in 1962, but on neither occasion was the outcome satisfactory. On the first invitation only two tenders were received and both of them were considered to be too high. On the second invitation four tenders were received but the lowest, which was at an acceptable figure, was withdrawn, and the others were regarded as being too high. Fresh tenders have now been sought and are receivable up to noon on 5th April, 1963.
