asked the Minister for Agriculture for what period the importation of raw tomatoes, except under licence, will be prohibited; and whether there is an ample supply of Irish tomatoes available at a reasonable price to the consumer.

The importation of raw tomatoes except under licence is prohibited as from 1st June until the home crop is disposed of. It is anticipated that ample supplies of Irish tomatoes will be available at a reasonable price to the consumer.
