Vol. 203 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Project Schemes.

17.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, in any county, county engineers are not cooperating with his Department in carrying out schemes under the land project; and, if so, if he will state the counties concerned.

18.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether any progress has been made with regard to negotiations between his Department and Mayo County Council in connection with the construction or improvement by the latter body of bridges, culverts or other drainage outlets necessary for drainage schemes under the land project.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 17 and 18 together.

Mayo County Council has not yet replied to my Department's offer of 30th January, 1963, in regard to work on bridges and culverts. The other county councils concerned have accepted the arrangements proposed by my Department.
