Vol. 203 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Posting of Old Age Pensions.

67.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether, in view of the inconvenience and hardship on old age pensioners who live some distance from the office of payment, he will arrange to have their pension sent by post to those who desire this facility.

Any old age pensioner who is unable to attend personally at a post office may appoint another person to collect his pension for him. It is considered that this arrangement is adequate to meet the cases of pensioners who find it difficult to go to a post office.
