Vol. 203 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repair of Tullamore (Offaly) Road.

20.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that twenty-six residents at St. Colman's Terrace, Tullamore, County Offaly have urgently requested repairs to the road in the Terrace and the removal of surplus water from the road; and that they were informed that the County Council are not responsible for the road, although the Council own the houses, and receive rent and rates from all concerned; and if he will have the matter examined, and provide a grant for the work.

Offaly County Council have made no approach to me in this matter. Work such as that referred to does not appear to be appropriate to the schemes of grants administered by my Department.
