Vol. 203 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Law Library Seating Accommodation.

12.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that, by reason of shortage of seating accommodation, very serious inconvenience is suffered by members of the public, particularly crippled and elderly people, who have occasion to resort to the anteroom of the Law Library, Four Courts, Dublin; and if he will make it a condition of the occupation of the anteroom by the Bar Council that not less than two dozen bentwood chairs be provided at the tables there in addition to the cushioned seats now against the walls.

I am not in a position to impose on the Bar Council the condition suggested by the Deputy in relation to the provision of additional seating accommodation in the anteroom to the Law Library. I am, however, having the Deputy's representations brought to the notice of the Council.
