Vol. 203 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Holidays of Insurance Agents.

42.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will ensure that the regulations under the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1961, whereby full-time insurance agents will be given annual holidays, are made in adequate time to enable such agents to enjoy holidays in the summer season this year.

I have submitted proposals for regulations to the parties concerned and pursuant to Section 3 (3) of the Holidays (Employees) Act 1961 I have invited their observations on these proposals.

I intend to make the regulations as soon as the parties concerned have had time to consider my proposals.
