Vol. 203 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Charleville (Cork) Telephone Service.

71.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware of the extremely unsatisfactory telephone service which has obtained for some time past in the Charleville area, County Cork; and whether any steps will be taken in the near future to improve the service in this area.

The service has not been entirely satisfactory of late owing to inadequate circuiting of the area. Equipment necessary for ample circuiting has been ordered. Pending its delivery and installation certain measures are being adopted to afford relief and improve the standard of service.
