asked the Minister for Finance the reasons for which the rediscount rate of the Central Bank of Ireland was raised on the 29th March, 1963, from 3.5/8 per cent. to 4.1/32 per cent.

6.
I have no function in relation to the rate which the Central Bank fixes from time to time for re-discounting bills. I would, however, refer the Deputy to the Quarterly Bulletin of the Central Bank dated October, 1960, for a statement of how the bank operates its rediscount rate.
Could the Minister tell me whether or not that was published at all before the Quarterly Bulletin? I never saw it anywhere until I saw that bulletin.
I am told it was published.
I must have missed it, then.
