Vol. 203 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transport to Vocational Schools.

88.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Education the number of counties in which transport schemes exist for children who live more than six miles from a vocational school.

Scholarships in respect of travel to vocational schools are available in 14 counties. These scholarships are confined to pupils who reside a minimum distance from the nearest vocational school. While the specified minimum distance varies from county to county, it is in no case less than five miles.
