Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Hydrographic Survey of Waterford Harbour.

29.

asked the Minister for Lands whether, in view of the report of the Hydraulics Research Board of Britain that a hydrographic survey of Waterford Harbour had been carried out by them for the Office of Public Works, he will state the position regarding (a) the proposed construction of a new fishing port at Dunmore East, and (b) the new works at the harbour at Passage East, County Waterford.

The position in regard to the development of a major fishery harbour at Dunmore East was indicated by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance in reply to questions by the Deputy on 27th March and 30th April last.

As to improvement of the harbour facilities at Passage East, a grant of half the cost of certain works is being offered to the Waterford County Council.
