Vol. 204 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - River Swilly Embankments.

8.

asked the Minister for Finance when it is expected to conclude the present work on the River Swilly embankments, County Donegal; when proposed extensions to this scheme will commence; and if he will consider the transfer of machinery at present employed on this scheme to other rivers in County Donegal already under consideration by the Office of Public Works.

It is expected that the present scheme on the Swilly embankments will be finished during the autumn. It has not been decided what further extensions will be made. If further developments take place, naturally as far as possible, existing machinery will be utilised.
