One hundred and fifty-eight applications were received under the Rural Improvements Scheme for County Mayo during the year ended 31st March, 1963.
In the same period 110 rural improvements schemes were sanctioned at a total estimated cost of £25,999. Particulars of the number of schemes carried out in the year ended 31st March, 1963, are not readily available but the expenditure on rural improvements schemes during that period was £29,363.
