Vol. 204 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Subpostmasters Union.

18.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether the Irish Subpostmasters Union is an excepted body under any of the Trade Union Acts; and, if so, what Act.

The Irish Subpostmasters Union is not an "excepted body" under Section 6 (3) of the Trade Union Act, 1941. The question of whether the union may be an "excepted body" under any other provision of the Trade Union Acts is one that would fall to be determined by the courts.
