asked the Minister for Finance how many applications for rural improvement schemes in South Kerry constituency were awaiting inspection on 1st April 1963.

13.

asked the Minister for Finance how many applications received for rural improvement schemes, which were outstanding in South Kerry constituency on the 1st April 1963, have not yet been inspected, the location of each scheme and the average length of time for which it has been under consideration in his Department.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to answer questions Nos. 12 and 13 together. 88 applications in the South Kerry constituency were awaiting inspection on 1st April, 1963: 45 of these have not yet been inspected. The electoral divisions in which these 45 applications are located are as follows:

Coom, four schemes; three each in the electoral divisions of Emlagh and Rathmore; two each in the electoral divisions of Maum, Churchtown, Doocarrig, Sneem, Killeentierna and Tahilla; and one each in the electoral divisions of Loughcurrane, Scartaglin, Derrynane, Curraghbeg, Killgarrylander, Flesk, Banawn, Brewsterfield, Milltown, Glanmore, Killinane, Glanbehy, Ventry, Boolteens, Kilcummin, Minard, Loughbrin, Castlecove, Curraghmore, Caragh, Ballinskelligs, Derriana and Ardea.

Of the 45 outstanding applications, one is over 12 months old, five are between 9 and 12 months, five between 6 and 9 months, and the remaining 34 under 6 months.
