Vol. 205 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Dentures at Naas Clinic.

18.

asked the Minister for Health (1) the number of people called to the Naas Dental Clinic for dentures in the past year, and (2) the number called as a result of a medical certificate for urgent treatment.

During the year ended 30th September, 1963, 45 people were provided with dentures at the Naas Dental Clinic; of these, 19 people had submitted medical certificates that dentures were required for urgent medical reasons.

I understand that there has been some difficulty in holding regular dental sessions at Naas Dental Clinic because of lack of accommodation but that this position will be remedied shortly as the health authority are taking steps to provide additional accommodation.

In addition to Naas, regular weekly dental sessions for eligible adults are held at Athy and Maynooth at which dentures are also provided.
