Vol. 205 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Dentures in South-West Cork.

4.

asked the Minister for Health what the position is in South-West Cork with regard to dentures, including (a) how many applications there are, (b) how many have been supplied, and (c) when it is hoped to supply the remainder.

I presume that the Deputy's question refers to that portion of the Cork Health Authority Area known as the Cork West Area.

My reply to a question by the Deputy on the 3rd July, 1963, gave the position regarding the supply of dentures in this area for the years 1961 and 1962. During the period 1st January to 30th September, 1963, (a) the number of applications for dentures in the Cork West area was 245; (b) 217 dentures were supplied; (c) I understand that most of the applications on hand will be dealt with within the next three months.
