Vol. 205 No. 10

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - River Maine Drainage.

14.

asked the Minister for Finance whether objections have been made both by local residents and by Kerry County Council with regard to his proposal to issue a certificate of completion for the Maine Catchment Drainage Scheme, on the grounds that the Brown Flesk River has not been drained, and that the stream from Tullig Quay to the main Glencar road has not been drained; if he will give details of such objections; and whether, prior to the issue of such completion certificate, he will have this drainage work completed.

The objections as stated have been received to the issue of a certificate of completion of the Maine catchment drainage scheme. They are being duly considered as required by the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, and the decision will be communicated in due course.
