Vol. 206 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly Dispensary Posts.

10.

asked the Minister for Health when it is proposed to fill the vacant posts of dispensary doctors for the districts of Kilcormac and Kinnitty, County Offaly.

The Local Appointments Commissioners have been requested to recommend candidates for appointment to the permanent offices of district medical officer for the districts referred to. A competition has already been held in the case of the Kinnitty vacancy and it is hoped that the Commissioners will be able to recommend a suitably qualified candidate in the near future.

The Commissioners propose to invite applications for the Kilcormac vacancy shortly.

As the Deputy is no doubt aware, the two posts are at present filled in a temporary capacity pending the making of permanent appointments.
