Vol. 206 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Applications for Dentures.

2.

asked the Minister for Health the number of applicants for dentures in the North Kerry area for the years 1961 and 1962 and to the latest date in 1963, and the number now outstanding who require dentures.

I presume that the Deputy has in mind the North Kerry Constituency and the information given in the reply refers to this area.

Information in relation to the North Kerry area as distinct from Kerry as a whole is not available in respect of the period prior to 1st April, 1962. During the year ended 31st March, 1963, the number of applications for dentures from eligible persons in the area was 212 and in the period 1st April, 1963 to 30th November, 1963 a further 258 applications were received, making a total of 470 applications in the period 1st April, 1962 to 30th November, 1963. The number currently on the waiting list for dentures is 260 persons.
