Vol. 206 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fair Trade Commission Report on Profiteering.

43.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he has yet completed his examination of the reports from the Fair Trade Commission in regard to some cases where it appeared that collective action had resulted in profiteering; and, if so, if he can now state what action he proposes to take thereon.

I have examined a number of reports which were submitted to me by the Fair Trade Commission. Where there is prima facie evidence of collective action in breach of a Restrictive Trade Practices Order, I have instructed that prosecutions be prepared.
