49.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the Malone Estate, Shinglass, Ballymore, County Westmeath, for the relief of local congestion; and, if so, with what result.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to his previous question on 30th October last setting out the position in relation to this estate.

50.

asked the Minister for Lands what is the present position regarding acquisition proceedings for the Odell Estate, Moate, County Westmeath, and when it is expected that finality will be reached in the matter.

Agreement on price has been reached for this estate containing 432 acres and the Land Commission hope to obtain possession of the property within the next few weeks.
