Vol. 208 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Compensation for County Tipperary Estate Employees.

52.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state, further to his previous statement on the subject, what is the present position with regard to compensation to be paid to the former employees at the Charteris Estate, Cahir, County Tipperary, which was taken over by his Department; and if, in view of the age and lack of resources of the men concerned, he will take immediate steps to expedite the paying of such compensation.

I understand that the extensive investigations which are necessary in relation to this particular estate have not yet been completed but I shall have the Deputy's representations in the matter conveyed to the Land Commission.
