Vol. 208 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Refining of Raw Sugar.

32.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the amount of raw sugar refined by the Irish Sugar Company in each of the last five years, the number of man-working days and the amount of wages involved each year in such refinement, and the estimated amount that will be refined in 1964-65, together with the number of man-working days and the amount of wages that will be involved thereby.

The information requested is not available in my Department, but the company has been asked whether they are in a position to provide it. I understand that the information may take some little time to prepare and that, as regards the year 1964-65, it may be difficult for the company to make a reliable forecast at this stage.
