Vol. 209 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Non-delivery of Letters.

56.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that there have been eleven complaints of non-delivery of letters to an address in the first three months of this year; and if, having regard to previous complaints of non-delivery of postal packets to that address, he will state what investigations were made in the matter, and what remedial action will now be taken to avoid any further incidents of non-delivery.

Three complaints of non-delivery of letters for the address in question during the period mentioned have been received by my Department. The complaints have been the subject of inquiry by the Department's Investigation Section, but it has not been possible to account for the losses. The case is being kept under constant review.
