Vol. 209 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - State-Aided Agricultural Colleges: Teachers' Salaries.

8.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether the teachers of poultry keeping and butter making in State aided agricultural colleges have received any improvement in their salaries during the last three years; and if not, when they may expect to share in the recent increases.

The reply to the first part of the question is "no" but I expect to be in a position within the next week or so to authorise a new salary scale which will take account of the recent increases in remuneration.

May I take it when the Minister authorises that scale, it will automatically become payable by State-aided schools?

I think so.
