Vol. 209 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Estate Duty Exemption Allowance.

7.

asked the Minister for Finance the estimated loss of revenue at current rates of estate duty, which would result from an estate duty exemption allowance of £2,000 for each child under 16 years, in cases where a deceased father has bequeathed all his property to his widow and children.

There are no statistics available which would enable an estimate to be made of the loss involved.
