Vol. 209 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Damage to Sutton (Dublin) Property.

49.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the serious damage caused to private property at Burrow Road, Sutton, Dublin, due to the building up of the adjoining beach and engulfment of gardens by wind-blown sand; and that Dublin Corporation have expressed their inability to relieve this problem as the beach is not under their control; and if he will arrange, if necessary by the introduction of legislation, for a satisfactory solution at an early date.

The question whether any remedial action may be taken under existing legislation is being investigated by my Department in consultation with Dublin Corporation.
