asked the Minister for Local Government if he will now amend the motor vehicle licensing system to permit vehicles to be registered for periods commencing and terminating on dates other than the first and last days of the calendar year or quarters of the calendar year, having regard to the view of the Committee on Industrial Organisation that the present system causes disequilibrium in the assembly and sale of vehicles.
